UFC middleweight Patrick Cote is no longer expected to compete at UFC 83 on April 19 in Montreal, according to The Fight Network. Cote had been talked about for a possible fight against Alan Belcher but the bout apparently was never signed and won't be following a recent injury sustained  by Cote.

The Fight Network is also reporting that Belcher is still expected to fight at UFC 83 and is now likely to face Canadian fighter Jason "Dooms" Day. Day has never fought in the UFC before but made headlines following a controversial split decision victory over David Loiseau during a Hardcore Championship Fighting card on February 1. 

Day's possible fight vs. Belcher is reportedly a part of a multi-fight contract with the UFC.
