In a new article by Boa Athu on Sherdog.com, former UFC heavyweight title contender Jeff Monson is quoted as saying there is validity to rumors suggesting he could be an opponent for PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko in M-1:
The "Snowman" Jeff Monson (Pictures), full of praise during in an interview with Roguemag.com, cited the "very good possibility of fighting the Russian" and also said he is "in the process of working through things with M-1."
A match between Fedor and Monson was believed to have been signed for last April's BodogFIGHT pay-per-view but the match never happened and Matt Lindland was eventually signed as Fedor's opponent.
