I realize there are a lot of you that are sick and tired about all talk related to Kurt Angle possibly crossing over into MMA. However, I don't see how the prospect of him possibly making his pro MMA debut can be ignored when something newsworthy as it relates to the situation transpires.
The latest bit of news pertaining to Kurt Angle and MMA is that IFL commissioner Kurt Otto has confirmed statements that Angle made to Alex Marvez of FoxSports.com in which he declared his interest in possibly becoming a part of the team-based league.
In a new interview with Damon Martin of MMAWeekly.com, Otto goes on the record to state the following:
“I’m psyched. He’s pretty open about it, which is good. We’re in talks. We’re excited about the opportunity.”
While Angle has flirted with a number of organizations, Otto feels confident as to why he may land in the IFL.
“Kurt Angle really wants to come on board. He wants to learn MMA and he wants to come to the IFL specifically because of the team format because he’s used to that.”
