UFC releases Jake O'Brien (viewed 86 times)

The UFC has released heavyweight competitor Jake O'Brien, according to a report by MMAjunkie.com.

O'Brien returned to the Octagon at UFC 82 this past March after a year long layoff due to a neck injury. Upon his return, O'Brien lost via second round TKO to former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski.

Junkie's report indicates that O'Brien could be on the verge of finalizing a contract with the California-based Palace Fighting Championships.
