Report: Burkman vs. Hazelett expected... (viewed 175 times)

A welterweight bout between Josh Burkman and Dustin Hazelett to take place during live season finale for "The Ultimate Fighter 7" on June 21 is close to being made official, according to a report on MMAjunkie.com.

Burkman, 9-5, last fought on January 23 during UFC Fight Night 12, losing a unanimous decision to Mike Swick. Prior to that bout he had won a split decision over Forrest Petz at UFC 77 in October.

Hazelett, 10-4, had his three fight UFC winning streak snapped at UFC 82 earlier this month when he suffered a second round TKO to Josh Koscheck. He is 3-2 lifetime while competing under the UFC banner and has also competed for Monte Cox's Extreme Challenge promotion.

The TUF 7 finale will feature the finals of the middleweight tournament that comprises the show along with a headlining match featuring Diego Sanchez vs. Luigi Fioravanti.
