Anderson Silva wants to fight Roy Jones Jr. (viewed 80 times)

Ed Soares, the manager for UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, revealed to MMAWeekly.com that his client would like the opportunity to compete against Roy Jones Jr. in a boxing match:

“Anderson really would love to fight Roy Jones, Jr. in a boxing match,” says his manager, Ed Soares, confirming recent speculation. “It’s not just talk, we really would like to put that fight together.”

If Silva boxes Jones Jr., I'll definitely pay to see it. But is it a wise career move? Even though he's 39 and past his prime, Jones is still a respectable boxer. Silva is a world class striker but can he truly be a threat to Jones Jr. if he's restricted to only using his fists?
