I was in the press conference and true, he about the ranks and addressed the journalists telling them that it was their responsability to make of the ranking system a more fair one including fighters other than UFC's. However, he also stated it this in regards to all fighters out there in all leagues. I remember how many times he insisted that there were many other leagues out there other than UFC (he wasn't talking only about EXC) and that it was about MMA not about a certain league
Shaw could be passionate in his statement and maybe even get carried away, but in this case, was he really being condescending? not sure about that...
perception is definitely not reality, for everyone... even for Shaw--of course.

at least Strikeforce has been benefited for such violation as to being on National TV without having a deal, so Coker should not be that upset... should he?

ADD or ADHD causes difficulty concentrating. It is like with static you need to increase the power to get the signal to come in more clearly/ Uaing Ritalin/speed does the same thing and increases the persons ability to tune in by giving a stronger signal. That may not be the best analogy, but I tried. I do not believe MJ helps to do the same thing Ritalin does, and I thought Nick took it so he wasn't too hyped up to sleep.

The point of taking Ritalin is to improve concentration. I've smoked a bit of marijuana and it does not improve concentration at all. At most you concentrate on snacks and the television. I live in California and any body could get a 215 card, I could because I have chronic headaches and/or back pain. I choose not to because I believe it should only be used by people who actually need it like cancer, HIV/AIDS patients. Anyways nice article. I'm gonna wait until I hear the whole story before I pass full judgment but it all sounds kind of fishy. I've never really likd Big Tim's fight style but recently he's started to change. i hope he stays with the UFC.

I like your comparison of Marcus Hicks vs. Ed Ratcliff to the upcoming Frank Shamrock/Cung Le fight. I wonder how much that will hold true. I was hoping to see more from 9mm, but I think he caught early and it paid dividends for The Wrecking Ball. I suspect that Le will be better in two vital areas: footwork and wrestling. Will Le's footwork be able to able to keep him at his distance and will his wrestling allow him to defend the takedowns?
